At The Athletic Edge, our mission is to empower elite athletes to unlock their full potential through comprehensive mental performance coaching. We believe that mental resilience is the final frontier in achieving peak performance. In addition to mental performance coaching we provide personalized monthly plans that encompass strength training, mobility routine, cognitive and ambidextrous development, nutrition guide, and education on mindfulness and breathwork. We are dedicated to guiding athletes in reaching their full potential, fostering mental well-being, physical excellence and holistic health needed to excel at the highest of levels. We’ve coached and mentored athletes across every level of sport — from elite youth competitors in AAU basketball, MLS Next soccer, and USTA tennis, to NCAA athletes, National Team players, and professionals competing in the US and abroad. About Me
My name is Pedro Osorio, and I’ve spent the past thirty-five years immersed in the world of sport. For the past twenty years, I’ve coached athletes at every level, including the last decade at the NCAA level with stints at Saint Mary’s and Long Beach State. Most recently, I served as the Head Coach of Men’s Soccer at San Francisco State University from 2018 to 2024.​
In 2024, I experienced the unexpected loss of my mother — a deeply painful moment that became a turning point in my personal and professional life. This tragedy led me into a period of deep reflection on mental health, emotional resilience, and purpose. With newfound clarity, I committed to a path that aligned more closely with my values and vision — one that offered me more time with my family — and from that, The Athletic Edge was born.​
In 2025, I became a certified Mental Performance Coach to help athletes thrive not just physically, but cognitively and emotionally. With a background in strength training, mobility, functional training, breathwork, yoga, and brain-based methods like Whole Brain Power, my mission is to develop complete athletes — resilient in body, sharp in mind, and confident in spirit.
